Don't worry-- scenario 2 is totally unrealistic. When they line up to rape you, they'll all carry baguettes. Standing around waitng to rape Americans is hungry work. Scenario 1, on the other hand, happens all the time, so be sure to wear a helmet with a big American flag on it.
